Breathe Easier: One More Reason to Love Solar

by Erin Finsel, Client Relations Manager at ARiES Solar Randy DeBord believes in helping people get healthy.  As the owner of McFarland Pharmacy, a small business that has been serving the community with supplying medical products and providing unparalleled services since 2005. So when Randy learned about the negative health impacts that can often be associated with traditional energy production, he looked for an alternative and sought out Harvey Abouelata, now President of ARiES Solar .  With the help of the Harvey Abouelata and Mary Shaffer Gill, VP of ARiES Solar , Randy installed a 29.6-kilowatt (kW) solar photovoltaic (PV) system, a 11.73 kW solar PV system and has completed a lighting retrofit that should save over 20,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year. Randy has fully subscribed to the ARiES Solar approach to Evaluate, Reduce then Produce. For more than forty years, the Clean Air Act has been helping to reduce air pollution around the country, allowing Americans to breathe easier and live healthier lives.  A peer reviewed 2011 EPA study found that, in 2010 alone, reductions of fine particle pollution and ozone pollution...
